Inside Island Records and EMI’s Art-Filled New London Headquarters

Island Records and EMI have revealed their new shared headquarters in London’s King’s Cross. Designed by Interesting Projects with Studio Island, the workspace has been conceived as a living exhibition devoted to the histories and distinct identities of the two labels.

The interiors include works and images by Annie Leibovitz, Anton Corbijn, Jeremy Deller and Corbin Shaw, alongside memorabilia connected to Amy Winehouse, the Beatles, Bob Marley, the Spice Girls and the Sex Pistols. It is a particularly strong example of workplace design becoming cultural storytelling. [Source]
